Rave (with a mini rant)

You gotta love this guy!

Josh Hamilton, the outfielder for the Rangers...everyone counted him out but he overcame addictions and is arguably the best player in the majors right now.

And...it's nice to see the media covering something positive for once!

He deserves every accolade he gets!

But...tell me how a guy can hit 32 home runs in the early rounds (breaking a record for the most in a round with 28)...

...AND STILL LOSES!!!!!!!!!

I mean, I understand that they wipe the slate clean after the early rounds to take it back to zero for the championship round...but in all honesty, that makes absolutely no sense to me.

Why have the early rounds then? What's the point if it doesn't really count?

I don't know...just seems like a total lack of common sense to me...

...but that's the American way so I guess it'll have to suffice because it won't change...

Congrats on a great performance Josh...you're everything that's right with sports...the fact that you had a second chance and didn't blow it...you realized that you had to turn things around!

I just wish other sports figures would take note and quit being morons...

Yes I'm talking to you Pacman, Barry, Roger, and the entire Bengals team...and I could go on with an entire list of dipshits...but it's late, I'm tired and you probably can guess who they are anyway!

I had chills watching the first round watching Josh crushing those homers. I think I am in love.

Your rant was well said, and I wish other athletes that go through hardships would dare to dream as Josh did.
