Why So Serious?

Why so serious?

Fate.

Chance.

The struggle of human nature when it comes to good vs. evil, both internally and externally.

Pretty heady stuff for a summer blockbuster.

But The Dark Knight isn’t your normal summer film…

That's why you should run, not walk, to the theater to see it...many, many times...

I have thoughts on it but will share my review later.

Needless to say, there is a reason that it broke all records and has pretty much received universal kudos from critics everywhere.

Ledger is fantastic, but the film really belongs, in a way, to Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent...he represents the struggle for the aforementioned good vs. evil, as the hope for the future...or, is it the futility of what we do to change things for the better?

You are unlikely to see a better film for a long time. The Dark Knight transcends comic books and becomes a morality play with a crime drama as the backdrop.

And what does it say about me that I could completely identify with the Joker's point of view (as well as Batman's)?

I love it when a film makes you think.

I'll be seeing it again this week!

I'm serious...for now!
