Only In My Dreams

I rarely dream...ok...I rarely remember them...lol.

Even rarer still is when I dream an entire story that's so vivid that I had to get up and write it down (that's only happened three times in life). Not that I'm complaining, because it's great fodder for stories, but when you have to work the next day, it's a tad more difficult to drag yourself out of bed!

Besides, why do these dreams--which start off seemingly normal--take a macabre twist near the end? Is it the product of the collective weird stuff I've seen and read about over the years or is it just something prodding me, inspiring me, challenging me or even scaring me into doing what I know I'm supposed to be doing in life?

I hope it's a little of both! ;)

Well this one featured me as the protagonist and not just my point of view as another fictional character. Suffice it to say that I don't know what my final fate was...and odds are that when I write the story, the reader/viewer won't either...makes it even more twisted that way!

Thank goodness no matter how real it seemed, it was only in my dreams!

Ok...there's no way I'll be seeing the dawn as I'm headed back to bed...unless it picks up where it left off!

(Or maybe I just know what I have to do before others realize it...either way, I think the quote fits! I'd been looking for something to write about that included it...looks like I got my wish!)
