Inspired
Most of you probably don't know, but in the sports world, this is Jimmy V week!
Jimmy V is Jim Valvano, the former coach of North Carolina State.
He died of cancer back in '93.
Isn't it a testament of how he lived his life that people still remember him?
Yes, he won the national championship in '83 against all odds, but...how does he continue to inspire people 15+ years after his death?
I can only surmise that it was from things like this...
"To me, there are three things we should do everyday. We should do this every day of our lives. Number one is laugh. You should laugh every day. Number two is think. You should spend some time in thought. And number three is...you should have your emotions moved to tears, could be happiness or joy. But think about it...if you laugh, you think and you cry...that's a full day. That's a heck of a day. You do that seven days a week and you're going to have something special."
and...
"Be a dreamer. If you don't know how to dream, you're dead."
I've spent way too much time not laughing...not living my dreams...and not moved by a lot of things...
Jimmy V...a toast to you...because you continue to inspire...
And I'm not giving up...despite everything thrown my way!

Sean, some people were put on this Earth to inspire others, obviously he was one of them.
Maybe we all were...maybe some of us just turn a blind eye to how we inspire others...
I wouldn't say "turn a blind eye" to it, just that some don't look at how inspiring they are. There are also those who are inspired to change their life and don't give credit where credit is due and that's a sad thing.
Incidently Sean I'm glad you aren't giving up, you never know when good things will happen.
