The Skinny, The Lowdown, The Dope, The Straight Poop...
Arrived from Cleveland yesterday where nothing exciting happened...and I do mean nothing...lol.
Saw some old friends and went out a bit but that was about it. Frankly, it was just nice to bunk down in the same place for a few days without having to drive in the morning.
Jack and I have arrived safely and, for the most part, he's been adjusting pretty well. Today, however, my family and I took him out to the local outdoor mall area and he started hacking and then throwing up after a while. I'm not sure but I think he may need a little more adjusting time as he's not used to all the people, cars and general mayhem surrounding him. What will be really nice is when I finally get my own place and he has ample room to roam.
Me? I adapt pretty quickly.
But I'll adapt better when I have more room to roam, peace and quiet and a place to just enjoy solitude from the world! ;)
My main goal?
I think it can be summed up with this quote...
"The ability to simplify means to eliminate the unnecessary so that the necessary may speak."
--Hans Hoffman
Here's to eliminating the unnecessary!
Speaking of which, here's a Yoko Update for my regular readers taken verbatim from an e-mail sent to me by Mark...
"Supposedly she had a job interview on Monday. Was all excited about it. Haven't heard from her since and her phone has been off all week. She said she sustained a concussion. First she said it was from opening the car door. Then she said it happened in the kitchen. And it made me wonder...how did she get the car into the kitchen? Amazing."
I also need to post some untold tales of Yoko soon. I recalled things that I had completely forgotten about that are just as funny. She's the gift that keeps on giving!

Sooo does this mean you won't be coming to visit?
Good to hear you and Jack arrived safely....a miracle considering what your life has been like, lol
ROTFL just choked on my cigarette reading that; damn I'm really going to miss those Yoko stories! Given what she's like it wouldn't surprise me a bit if she somehow got the car into the apartment, something only she could achieve. Wait...I thought Mark turned off the utilities, what is she still doing there?
yay!!! More yoko stories!!!
I TOLD you she was a vampire!
ick.
keep an eye on Jack!
K :-)
I am LMAO imagining that just maybe Mark turned the utilities off and it's just DARK and Yoko sits there THINKING she must have had a head injury since she sees nothing but darkness and she didnt answer her phone because it JUST WON'T CHARGE and she can't figure out why.....THAT is how stupid she seems, lol or maybe she has been overcome by the spoiled egg smell...hahahahaaa or she found them and ate them, my goodness the possibilities do seem endless with Yoko;)
Karen,
Not planning on visiting too many places anytime soon, save for one that I promised.
I have no idea if she's still there or not...lol...haven't received an update as of yet.
Nyx,
As long as they keep coming, I'll keep writing. ;)
K,
Lol...Jack is safely away from her, thankfully.
And she's not one I would invite in so I don't have to worry about that! ;)
Deb,
Lol...I considered her being overcome by the smell of sulphur. Actually, I was HOPING that's what had happened.
Personally, I think she's had a concussion for years and this is her normal reality. For me, it was Life On Mars!
And seriously the only thing that doesn't spoil is honey ...
shoulda set a trap with that too S!
K :-)
Nah...I'd rather think of using honey for other things more pleasant.
:D
