I remember New Year's Eve 1994 vividly.
I was in a hotel room with my then girlfriend spending a nice, quiet (semi ;) ) relaxing night. As the night went on, I felt an itch in the center of my chest. It really started to irritate me because it wouldn't go away. I chalked it up to maybe being a bug bite.
When I went into work the next morning, I felt really run down...listless...fatigued. It occurred to me that I might be getting a touch of the flu.
Nah...couldn't be that simple.
It turned out to be...
Yep...Chicken Pox!
I mention this only because, oddly enough, I have a little red mark that itches right now...in the center of my chest...and I'm feeling a bit run down...listless...fatigued.
Supposedly, you should be immune once you've had them.
Supposedly.
I just knew I shouldn't have accepted those blankets from people coming to the New World.
With the way my luck runs, I'm awaiting a full outbreak. Which strikes me as kind of funny since I was just thinking to myself the other day "Wow, I haven't really been sick since the fall of '06!"
Why is it that I can't think "Hey! I've never hit the lottery!" and have that come true?

K,
Yes...that did suck...but it didn't used to bother me as much back then. Of course, I had the rest of the week off, obviously...lol.
Feeling better today. Still the itch, a bit tired...but no outbreak.
good luck with that, because i think your antibodies can go away.
i know i had the pox when i was 6 and yet last year when i was pregs they tested for the antibodies twice, both times nothing.
ps. please don't enter the ny metro area for at least 6 weeks :)
Lana,
Lol...you're safe!
Tis but a flesh wound!
(Of bug proportions apparently.)
