Random thoughts...

Since my mind really wasn't on work today for several reasons (i.e. was writing about boring little towns in the Pacific Northwest, strained my lower back again and have no idea how), I started to receive these little errant thoughts that crept into my head...

I will now share the clean ones with you... ;)

Early today at work I heard a grizzled cackling from a male coming from somewhere close by and couldn't help but inquire as to whether we recently employed an old prospector. I sort of got that image of Jim Backus (best known for his portrayal of Thurston Howell III on Gilligan's Island) as that ornery old prospector who locked the Bradys up when they were en route to the Grand Canyon. I didn't see or smell a burro so I guess we didn't...too bad...you never know when you'll need to pan for gold...

As I was listening to a particular song on my iTouch, I wondered if Dylan Thomas' poem "Do Not Go Gentle Into That Goodnight" wasn't best summed up with the immortal House of Pain's touching lyric "I ain't goin' out like no punk bitch"...

I was reading some bullshit article on employers and how they're now going by a color test to determine if you're best fit for their company. Whatever happened to actually knowing something...remember those days? So I took the Dewey Color System test (very quickly I might add) and here's what they said about me...

You're a Pioneer

You think about why people do what they do. By understanding the motivation of others, you seek to create a better world. Changing the world around you through personal achievements is your everyday challenge.

Oddly enough, a co-worker and I were just talking about that the other night...he also just wants to know why people do what they do...kind of like that Seinfeld episode where Jerry wants to know why the girl he's dating wears the same dress all the time...

And finally, tonight is the first night of my bowling league (hence the picture above)...I remember when my friend asked me to be on The Lousy Bowler's League and then said that the one guy wanted to see me bowl before that to see if I was any good...wondered why it mattered since the name didn't really inspire fear in opponents anyway...lol...but I can only hope that I'll be as versatile as Johny Nogarelli...

"Come on everybody
Gather round

I'm gonna show you how to

Knock 'em down

When I'm on the ball

I'm the number one

And I'm gonna show you

How it's done"

hmmmm...here is what is "FAB" about me;

You're a Generator

Your concerned awareness gets attention wherever you go. Others see you as a curious character who needs to know about everything. You constantly attract opportunities.

whatever...have a good time B0WLING! :)

The CLEAN ones? What we don't get the good stuff? Geez what's the point of a blog if you leave out the interesting stuff. I want my money back!

Viv,

Well if you attract any opportunities wherein your friends get free piles of cash, by all means go for it...

Ugh..bowling and a strained back don't make a great combo!

Karen,

I can't even make it up to Toronto (yet) :D

How on earth would I ever make it all the way up there?

Of course with mail the way it is that would probably be quicker...lol.

I have every confidence you'll find a way, you're a smart guy, Sean...and yes it would be faster than the mail.
