My new best friend...

Recently, the mom of a friend of mine was out driving and thought she almost ran over a white plastic bag skittering along the street.

Turns out that it was the little guy you see in the pictures below...

Everyone...meet Jack!

Apparently Jack was abandoned. My friend's mom wanted to keep him but couldn't and my friend has 2 dogs already (there was a little issue with Jack establishing dominance over the other male by peeing everywhere) so she couldn't keep him.

So, I told them that barring him having a microchip that I would keep him.

No chip and he had a clean bill of health at the vet so guess who came to dinner and stayed?

Of course there are the usual "getting to know one another" times like when he peed at the foot of my bed and in his cage the first time I left him alone in it...lol...but otherwise he's been great!

He's a blast to watch...he tried to dig at my comforter to make a nest and after each aggressive attempt, he'd look at me with that little mop of hair...kind of reminded me of a Courtney Love mug shot in a way!

So Jack and I will be living together for some time I hope...I think he needed me as much as I needed him!
