Young pups

"Young hearts
Be free
Tonight
Time
Is on
Your side
Don't let them put you down
Don't let 'em push you around
Don't let 'em ever
Change your
Point of view"
--Young Turks, Rod Stewart

I have one at home who left me not one but TWO special surprise gifts on Wednesday!

At least he had enough sense to leave the second one in the bathtub!

(Though that didn't appease me in the least)

Oddly enough...both were fake doggie doos and they had a scent just like the real thing...the mystery comes into play when I discovered that Jack was also in the bathroom at the same time! He yapped that it was Colonel Mustard in the Conservatory with a feces filled lead pipe, but I'm not too keen on buying that one...

Now he's in a crate during the day and the bathroom is once again mine...just as a precaution!

The second one is at work and is doing the job faster than I can...

It's not age-ism I'm concerned about...it's the quality of the product being turned out.

Now I know my job isn't the most difficult in the world...but when I see someone do nothing but text all day and their hands still flutter upon the keyboard without researching what they're writing about, I get concerned...

...and not for me, but for the person he's creating the website for!

(Again, I still have some remnants of a work ethic.)

Perhaps I should borrow that lead pipe full of feces!

(Or...if you're a Looney Tunes fan, the "Pipe Full of Fun Kit #7)

Point is...age always wins out over the young...

I've figured out how to deal with one pretty quickly...the cage seems to be the best option...that took me about 2 minutes to figure out!

One down, one to go...

Don't forget...all I ever learned about being duplicitous came from Bugs Bunny, so no young pup OR turk will ever push me around!

:D

Ah yes, gotta love those little gifts they leave us. Just be thankful that you don't have a cat, mine leaves nice big, wet, hairballs on the floor, usually where i step on them first thing in the morning.

As for the other turd, there is definitely something missing in the work ethic - or lack thereof - in the younger people starting work now. I can't tell you how many times i've heard someone say "Oh I don't do that, it's not part of my job description". Now in some places that's valid, people are supposed to stick to their job. However, clerks and secretaries who float from department to department are supposed to do whatever the job involves and screw the description. The other thing is that they've never heard of doing just a bit more than expected.

Anyway, moan, groan the weekend is here, time to relax and forget about that crap.
