I Don't See This Being A Success

Does anyone recall the 1990 movie, Crazy People, with Dudley Moore as an advertising executive that completely goes bonkers and starts to tell the truth to the public?

It's not a great movie, but it is good for a few laughs.

One of the fake ads I remember vividly is the one for Volvo: "They're boxy, but good!"

I'd almost forgotten about it until I saw an ad for this today...

Meet the Nissan Cube.

Yeah...this is EXACTLY what drivers want.

After sitting in their small, boxy cubicles all day and having to go home to boxy houses or apartments, their preferred method of driving is a shiny cube.

Reminds me of the lyrics from The Police's Synchronicity II

"Packed like lemmings
Into shiny metal boxes"

Maybe it's just me...then again, I didn't think anyone wanted to drive a mini-hearse, but I see plenty of these out on the road...

Clearly, Nissan wants to get bailed out, too.

K,

Lol...people like weird things I guess.

Yeah...my Nissan is now weeping for the future of the company too.

Brian,

Everyone has their hands out these days...lol.

The topper would be if they got the Adam Sandler song for the commercials! (You know which one I mean)
